Accounting Manager

An e-commerce, up and coming company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to help strengthen and scale the accounting function. This is a high-ownership role for a CPA who enjoys being close to the numbers, improving processes, and supporting a fast-moving business.

You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership and play a central role in month-end close, inventory accounting, audit readiness, and process improvement

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare monthly financial packages for executive leadership
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and P&L accuracy
• Lead inventory accounting, including valuation, reserves, landed cost allocation, and write-offs
• Ensure accurate COGS and partner with operations and supply chain on inventory flows
• Oversee revenue, AR, and collections processes
• Manage multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany activity
• Support acquisition integrations from an accounting perspective
• Lead audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors
• Improve internal controls, documentation, and accounting workflows
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables
• Manage and develop a lean accounting team
• Drive automation and process improvements

• CPA required
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting, Big 4
• Strong inventory accounting experience (e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, or distribution)
• Proven ownership of month-end close
• ERP experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience managing or reviewing work of accounting staff
• Advanced Excel skills
• Track record improving accounting processes in a growing environment
• Strong communication and sound judgment
