Looking for Experienced Accounts Payable Associate in Miami!

Overview

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
  • Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal , reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
  • Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
  • Files document into appropriate vendors and dates.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards and industry regulations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
  • Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
  • Excel (intermediate
    - Advanced)
Education And Experience

  • An Associate or Bachelor s degree in Accounting preferred
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting is crucial.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
