Overview
Candidates must reside in South Florida to be considered.
At this time one of the world's largest private equity firms holding companies is expanding their accounting department. This role is open due to explosive growth. This is an opportunity for a high-potential employee to join a worldwide leader in its vertical at the ground level.
Responsibilities- General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
- Assist with Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the holding company and its underlying portfolio companies.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and process journal entries for various accounting events, including accruals, deferrals, and intercompany transactions.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits by providing requested information and explanations.
- Compliance: Ensure financial activities adhere to GAAP and internal policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting is a MUST HAVE.
- Experience: 1+ years of accounting experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial reporting tools.
- Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve accounting issues. - Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic PE environment.
This role is hybrid in Miami area code 33130.
