Our client is a well‑established law firm specializing in corporate, civil, and criminal law. They are now looking for a Trust Accounting Specialist.
Salary/Hourly Rate$32/hr – $37/hr
Position OverviewThe Trust Accounting Specialist will support the day‑to‑day accounting operations of a multi‑national law firm, with a strong focus on trust and escrow accounting. This fully in‑office role reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor and is responsible for general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and trust account reconciliation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and is flexible to work overtime when needed.
Responsibilities- Manage and reconcile client trust and escrow accounts in compliance with legal and industry regulations.
- Review and process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions related to trust and escrow activity.
- Ensure accurate posting of deposits, disbursements, and interest allocations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of trust transactions and ensure proper segregation of client funds.
- Respond to internal inquiries and provide accounting support to team members.
- Assist with administrative and departmental tasks as needed.
- Support team collaboration through daily in‑office operations, meetings, and training opportunities.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to real estate transactions.
- Hands‑on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
- Prior experience with CMS/Aderant software and check processing.
- Familiarity with multi‑national law firm operations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
