Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis for a 4-6 month assignment. This position is based on-site in Miami, Florida, and will require someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid background in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with various financial tasks, including accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, and journal entries.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Maintain and update prepaid schedules to ensure proper tracking and reconciliation.

- Perform revenue reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.

- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

- Utilize Tyler Enterprise (Munis) software for financial tasks, if applicable.

- Apply advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas, to analyze and manage data.

- Assist with invoice processing and ensure timely payments.

- Conduct data entry to support financial operations and maintain accurate records.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations and adherence to deadlines.

- Provide additional support for accounting tasks as needed during the contract period. Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and Quick Books Online.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.

- Familiarity with Tyler Enterprise (Munis) software is preferred.

- Solid understanding of prepaid schedules and accrual accounting.

- Advanced Excel skills

- Ability to work on-site during standard business hours.

- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities to support financial operations.
