Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Miami Beach!

- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for both the plumbing and property management divisions.

- Perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, rent payments, and insurance transactions.

- Oversee payroll processing using Pay Day software, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Utilize Quick Books Desktop for managing financial data and reporting.

- Monitor aging reports to track outstanding balances and follow up as necessary.

- Handle construction-specific accounting tasks, applying industry-specific knowledge when needed.

- Prepare and review journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

- Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.

- Manage sales tax calculations and reporting requirements.

Requirements

- Proven experience with Quick Books Desktop and general accounting practices.

- Familiarity with payroll systems, specifically Pay Day, is highly preferred.

- Strong understanding of reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and rent accounts.

- Knowledge of construction accounting processes is a significant advantage.

- Ability to prepare corporate tax returns and manage sales tax reporting.

- Expertise in handling journal entries and maintaining an accurate general ledger.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple financial tasks.

- Availability with flexibility to meet scheduling demands.
