Senior Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the transition of our accounting system from Sage 500 to SAP S/4

HANA. This position offers the opportunity to work with a leading company in a dynamic industry focused on automation and efficiency improvements, backed by a strong leadership team offering mentorship.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with the SAP S/4

HANA implementation team to support system transition from Sage 500 to SAP.

+ Assist with general accounting close activities, including reconciliations, postings, and financial statement preparation.

+ Provide audit support, including documentation requests and footnote preparation.

+ Backfill accounting responsibilities during month-end close and audit periods.

+ Transition into recurring day-to-day accounting tasks starting February to allow internal team members to focus on SAP testing.

+ Work extensively in Excel to support reporting and reconciliation needs.

+ Participate in conversations with the implementation team and contribute to process improvements.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in general accounting and audit support.

+ Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP S/4

HANA and Sage 500.

+ Advanced Excel skills.

+ Strong attention to detail and documentation.

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

+ Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to "roll up sleeves."

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The role will report to the Director and requires collaboration with both internal team members and the SAP S/4

HANA implementation team. The position offers the opportunity to engage in process improvements and contribute to a company undergoing significant automation enhancements. Dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
