Bookkeeper​/Sr Accountant

A well-established lower middle market investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper to support internal accounting operations and fund-related financial activities. This is a hands‑on opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

• Maintain and reconcile multiple sets of books in Quick Books Desktop

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
• Support preparation of annual tax filings and coordinate tax documentation.
• Assist with annual audits and partner with external auditors.
• Collaborate with third‑party fund administrators on fund accounting/reporting.
• Help improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial analysis and Excel‑based reporting for leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in public accounting, private equity, family office, fund accounting, or multi‑entity accounting is helpful.
• Prior audit and tax support experience required.
