VP Accounting Controller

We're looking for a senior accounting executive who doesn't just manage the close but will own it, improve it, and set the standard for it.

Our client is one of the largest service companies in the country. The accounting function is growing, and we are seeking a VP of Accounting who can build something best-in-class: with tight controls, clean books, dedicated close, and a team that performs.

• GL, consolidations, internal controls, and GAAP compliance
• Job costing and margin analysis in partnership with FP&A and Operations
• External audit relationships
• A high‑performing accounting team you'll recruit, develop, and retain
• Systems and process transformation with measurable business impact

• CPA
• 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership
• Big Four and/or large multi‑location enterprise background strongly preferred
• Experience in services businesses with high‑volume billing and job costing
• Proven track record driving close optimization, process transformation, and systems implementation
• Executive presence and the ability to partner directly with the CFO
