Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and support the overall accounting function. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger entries

+ Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records

+ Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

+ Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed

+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Help ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting regulations

+ Assist with audits by gathering supporting documentation and preparing schedules

+ Monitor expenses, accruals, and other accounting transactions

+ Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and records

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2+ years of accounting experience preferred

+ Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
