Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, solid knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements

+ Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

+ Maintain and analyze financial records for accuracy and completeness

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

+ Prepare financial reports, schedules, and account analyses

+ Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies

+ Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements

+ Assist with audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules

+ Maintain organized accounting files and records

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 1-3+ years of accounting experience preferred

+ Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ High attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
