Position Overview
The Account Services Coordinator performs and reviews daily and monthly reconciliation of departmental accounts, process receivables, prepares journal entries, reviews and monitors customer accounts, research discrepancies and system reports and year-end tasks as assigned.
What you will be doing
* Performs and reviews daily reconciliation reports of departmental accounts
* Analyzes and maintains accounts to ensure proper budget allocation
* Researches account discrepancies and establishes appropriate solutions
* Prepares, reconciles and processes journal entries
* Prepares and maintains account/customer schedules
* Applies incoming payments to Accounts Receivables
* Maintains and acts as custodian of customers' records in the system
* Prepares, reviews and monitors system reports and customer accounts
* Performs related duties as required
What you need to succeed
* Master's degree; or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field and 4 years of relevant experience
* Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
* Ability to analyze, evaluate and research incoming payments and customer accounts
* Knowledge of operating systems, word-processing and computer software including Excel,
* Microsoft Word and Windows
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
* Ability to write routine reports, queries and correspondence
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
* Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relations with students, faculty, and administration
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment
