Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in Miami, Florida in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting and can manage vendor payments with accuracy and confidence. The position is fully on-site and offers the opportunity to contribute immediately within a collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice receipt through final payment processing.

- Review invoices against supporting documentation to confirm proper coding, approvals, and contract alignment.

- Enter and process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately while maintaining strong attention to detail.

- Reconcile vendor statements regularly and investigate discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.

- Communicate with vendors to answer payment questions, request missing information, and follow up on outstanding items.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor records to support accurate payment processing and reporting.

- Use Yardi and related property management accounting tools to manage payable transactions efficiently.

- Prioritize urgent payment activities and adapt quickly to changing business demands in a fast-paced environment. Requirements - At least 3 years of hands-on accounts payable experience in a high-volume setting.

- Proven ability to manage full-cycle AP responsibilities with strong accuracy and follow-through.

- Experience with invoice entry, vendor maintenance, statement reconciliation, and payment research.

- Proficiency with Yardi, including Yardi Enterprise, Yardi Property Management, or similar Yardi platforms.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- High level of organization, sound judgment, and attention to detail under pressure.

- Availability to start immediately or within the current week.

- Comfortable working on-site in Miami, Florida within a fast-moving office environment.
