Staff Accountant - Government Experience

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with experience supporting government or municipal accounting operations.

Requirements:

+

Experience with full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close

+ Government, municipality, nonprofit, or public sector accounting experience preferred

+ Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audits

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and internal controls

+

Experience with Tyler Technologies software preferred

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel

+ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills

Requirements

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Perform bank and account reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close

+ Support financial reporting and audit requests

+ Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

+ Assist with budget tracking and special projects as needed
