Pastoral Center - The Archdiocese of Miami

The Finance Office of the Archdiocese of Miami Pastoral Center, located in Miami Shores, Florida, has an immediate opening for a part-time Accounting Clerk
. The person must be detail oriented and is responsible for providing support within the finance department, performing clerical tasks, and assisting accounting personnel as needed for the Pastoral Center. Position will be in the areas of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). The Accounting Clerk performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with some accounting experience in a customer service environment; AA or other degree in accounting preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of maintaining strict confidentiality concerning financial and contributors’ files.
  • Accounting or related field experience is preferred.
  • Some knowledge of accounts payable.
  • Some knowledge of accounts receivable and general ledger.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
  • Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time.
  • Ability to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Advanced Excel.
  • Must be supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated professional demeanor, including the dress code.
