Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this position serves as a key financial leader within the organization — ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, the strength of internal controls, and the efficiency of accounting operations across a complex, multi-entity environment.

You will drive process improvement, system optimization and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial matters. If you’re someone who takes pride in getting the details right while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own financial statement accuracy, general ledger integrity, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage intercompany transactions and consolidations across the IRG Ventures portfolio
  • Ensure ongoing GAAP compliance and alignment with internal accounting policies
  • Lead the annual audit process — coordinating with the VP Controller, CFO, and external auditors
  • Support tax reporting and compliance in partnership with outside tax advisors
  • Strengthen internal controls and enforce accounting policies across the organization
  • Optimize accounting systems and reporting tools (we use Sage Intacct) for greater efficiency and scale
  • Develop and mentor accounting team reinforcing a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate accounting treatment of business activities
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting roles
  • Hands‑on experience preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Proven track record managing external audits from start to finish

Expert‑level knowledge of GAAP and multi‑entity financial reporting standards
  • Strong grasp of consolidations, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire an accounting team
  • Clear communicator — able to translate complex financials for any audience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in multi‑entity or complex organizational structures
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP/accounting platform
Who You Are
  • You don’t wait to be told where problems are — you find them first.
  • Catch what others miss — errors, inconsistencies, and variances don’t make it past you
  • Accuracy is a non‑negotiable, whether it’s a journal entry or a board‑level report
  • You document your work and your team’s work thoroughly
  • Take ownership when something isn’t right and see it through until it is
  • You thrive in environments where the work is complex and the expectation is excellence.
  • Solutions‑oriented, handle sensitive information with discretion, and bring the kind of steady, reliable judgment that senior leadership leans on.
Benefits
  • Free medical coverage and comprehensive dental & vision insurance for you and your dependents
  • An HSA with employer dollars to help you save
  • Mental health resources for life’s tougher moments
  • Company‑paid life insurance and short‑term disability
  • Company‑paid parking on‑site or train pass (Miami)
  • $60/month cell phone stipend
  • 401(k) dollar‑for‑dollar company match up to 4% with 100% immediate vesting
  • A team that genuinely enjoys spending time together — backed by free snacks, drinks, and events that people still talk about long after they happen
  • Competitive paid time off, to recharge, so you can show up as your best self
  • 12 paid holidays to recharge, plus a floating holiday to spend however you see fit
