Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Overview

Large Miami-based organization is seeking experienced accounting leaders to join a newly centralized corporate accounting team. These positions will oversee key accounting operations within a complex, high-volume environment and play a critical role in driving process improvements, automation initiatives, financial reporting, and operational efficiencies across the organization. This is a fully on-site opportunity.

• Lead core accounting operations and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and management analysis
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Treasury, Internal Audit, and executive leadership
• Drive process improvement, workflow automation, and accounting transformation initiatives
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors on annual and quarterly reviews
• Mentor and develop accounting staff within a collaborative corporate environment
• Assist with implementation and enhancement of reporting tools, ERP systems, and automation technologies

• Bachelor 2019s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
  Master 2019s preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting and/or large public company experience
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience with in complex, multi-entity or high-volume environments preferred
• Exposure to ERP systems, reporting tools, and accounting automation/process improvement initiatives highly preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
