Accounting Clerk/Coordinator
Job Description
The Accounting Clerk/Coordinator provides essential support to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions by performing accurate data entry, processing vendor invoices, and assisting with report preparation. This role helps ensure that financial records are complete, accurate, and up to date while supporting the finance team with administrative and accounting tasks during a defined assignment period, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
+ Review and process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Record and track payments in the accounting system to maintain up-to-date financial records.
+ Prepare accounts payable reports and support report preparation for the Controller.
+ Assist the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments with basic data entry tasks.
+ Resolve invoice and payment concerns by researching issues and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
+ Handle filing, document organization, and other administrative tasks related to accounting records.
+ Use basic computer functions to enter, update, and verify financial data.
+ Support the finance team with additional accounting and clerical duties as needed.
Essential Skills
+ At least 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
+ Ability to review and process vendor invoices accurately.
+ Experience recording and tracking payments in an accounting or financial system.
+ Proficiency with basic computer functions and data entry.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
+ Ability to prepare basic accounts payable reports and support financial reporting.
+ Strong organizational skills for managing filing and documentation.
+ High school diploma or GED.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience supporting both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
+ Familiarity with MRI software is preferred.
+ Ability to resolve invoice and payment concerns professionally and efficiently.
+ Comfort working with standard accounting processes and procedures.
+ Capability to participate in a virtual and/or onsite interview process.
+ Willingness to support the finance team with additional tasks during a defined assignment period, with the possibility of extension.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role based in an office environment, not a remote position. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role supports a busy Accounting & Finance team and focuses on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities using standard office technology and basic computer applications, with MRI software experience considered a plus. The position is structured as a 3-month assignment with the potential for extension, providing additional support to the existing finance team in a professional office setting where appropriate business attire is expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
