Job Description
The Senior Accountant manages the full fixed asset lifecycle and supports accurate, compliant financial reporting across the organization. This role focuses on fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and month-end close activities, while partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes and controls.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, write-offs, and adjustments.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset records and ensure compliance with established accounting policies and GAAP.
+ Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and month-end close activities.
+ Perform account reconciliations for fixed assets, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances, investigate discrepancies, and facilitate timely resolution of outstanding items.
+ Analyze financial data to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and provide insights to management.
+ Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal management review and audit purposes.
+ Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested information, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and global teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely resolution of accounting issues.
+ Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies, and contribute to implementation of enhancements.
+ Support financial reporting and reconciliation processes using ERP and reporting tools, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to fixed assets, general ledger, intercompany accounting, and month-end close processes.
+ Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles related to fixed assets, depreciation, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
+ Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
+ Experience working with ERP systems such as People Soft (PSoft) or similar financial systems.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
+
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation processes in a corporate environment.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and resolve discrepancies.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and global teams.
Work Environment
This role operates within a dynamic finance function and reports into the finance leadership team. The position follows a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day remote each week, offering a balance of in-person collaboration and focused individual work. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with regular interaction across departments and global teams, including support for LATAM operations where bilingual communication is beneficial.
You will work extensively with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and advanced Excel, contributing to a culture that values accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional collaboration.

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
