A growing and highly regarded wealth management firm is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, including cash, investments, and accruals.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze financial results and support budgeting and profitability reporting.
  • Assist with investment, partnership, trust, or multi-entity accounting, as applicable.
  • Support audits, maintain compliance with GAAP, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and system efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience; public accounting or financial services experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Quick Books; ERP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in wealth management, investment management, banking, family office, or other financial services environments.
  • Exposure to investment accounting or multi-entity accounting.
  • CPA designation or active progress toward certification.
