Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

Controller – Logistics & Freight Forwarding | 100% Onsite

Our client, a rapidly growing logistics organization, is seeking a Controller to help support a growing company while strengthening the finance and accounting and developing a team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is looking for a role that offers both challenge and growth.

Experience with in a freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain organization is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity to support effective cash management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
• Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Assist with clearing accounting backlogs while helping establish scalable processes to support the company's continued growth.
