Senior Accountant – Lease Accounting (ASC 842)
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 + Bonus

A growing global organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the expansion of its leasing business while owning key accounting processes related to lease accounting and financial reporting. This individual will play a critical role in managing full‑cycle accounting responsibilities, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards, and partnering cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Supply teams.
This is not a traditional general ledger accounting role. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, hands‑on lease accounting experience, and the ability to drive process improvements within a sophisticated, fast‑paced, and highly transactional accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities Lease Accounting & Technical Accounting- Own and manage accounting processes related to lease accounting under ASC 842.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment for lease transactions and related financial reporting.
- Support technical accounting research and interpretation of accounting guidance.
- Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Perform month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to support accounting activities.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Support accounting initiatives related to new business operations and organizational growth.
- Communicate accounting guidance to business stakeholders and operational teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives supporting organizational growth.
- Assist with ERP enhancements, system implementations, and accounting workflow improvements.
- Help strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Support accounting activities across multiple business entities.
- Work within a highly transactional accounting environment while managing competing priorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting organizational scalability.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA or CPA eligibility.
- Strong full‑cycle accounting experience.
- Hands‑on experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
. - Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
- Experience working within large, complex organizations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Public accounting experience (Big 4, national, or large regional firm preferred).
- Experience working within multinational organizations.
- SAP or similar ERP system experience.
- Experience supporting process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
- Experience working in highly transactional accounting environments.
