Senior Accountant

Lennar is a leading home builder in the United States, dedicated to building quality homes and providing exceptional customer service.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to participate in all aspects of general ledger accounting and month‑end close process and to drive efficiencies in financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise centralized accounting for the homebuilding revenue and cash transaction cycles
  • Assist with general accounting, fixed assets, leases, homebuilding & inventory, accruals, and allocations processes
  • Prepare accounting transactions and maintain records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP
  • Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation
  • Assist in designing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive efficiency and compliance with US GAAP
  • Assist with internal and external audits under supervision
  • Support process optimization and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally on system enhancements, workflow automation, and data quality improvements
  • Develop cross‑functional relationships with stakeholders such as FP&A, Procurement, Operations, Treasury, Internal Audit, and other partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • 2–3 years in public accounting and/or public company experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, management, analytical, decision‑making, and research skills with ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word; experience with JD Edwards, Essbase, Blackline
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

This primarily sedentary office position requires the incumbent to use computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift and move up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
