A growing global organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the expansion of its leasing business while owning key accounting processes related to lease accounting and financial reporting. This role manages full-cycle accounting responsibilities, ensures compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards, and partners cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Supply teams. This is not a traditional general ledger accounting role;

the candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on lease accounting experience, and the ability to drive process improvements within a sophisticated, fast-paced, and highly transactional accounting environment.

• Lease Accounting & Technical Accounting
  • Own and manage accounting processes related to lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment for lease transactions and related financial reporting.
  • Support technical accounting research and interpretation of accounting guidance.
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Full-Cycle Accounting
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to support accounting activities.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Support accounting initiatives related to new business operations and organizational growth.
  • Communicate accounting guidance to business stakeholders and operational teams.
• Process Improvement & Systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives supporting organizational growth.
  • Assist with ERP enhancements, system implementations, and accounting workflow improvements.
  • Help strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Operational Support
  • Support accounting activities across multiple business entities.
  • Work within a highly transactional accounting environment while managing competing priorities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting organizational scalability.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or CPA eligibility.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
  .
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
• Experience working within large, complex organizations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Public accounting experience (Big 4, national, or large regional firm preferred).
• Experience working within multinational organizations.
• SAP or similar ERP system experience.
• Experience supporting process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
• Experience working in highly transactional accounting environments.
