Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure the accuracy of financial records. The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. This role is ideal for a professional who is organized, deadline-driven, and able to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

+ Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany accounts

+ Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

+ Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

+ Prepare financial reports and account analyses for management review

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

+ Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements

+ Assist with audits by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests

+ Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies in financial data

+ Contribute to process improvements within accounting operations

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2+ years of accounting experience preferred

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems

+ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ CPA or CPA track is a plus

+

Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics

+ Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
