Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliation activities. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of company invoices, maintaining organized financial records, and supporting the overall efficiency of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and on time
• Review invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy and proper approval
• Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts and enter them into the accounting system
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and other disbursements
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies
• Maintain vendor files, including W-9s, payment terms, and contact information
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status and account details
• Assist with month-end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and AP reports
• Monitor aging reports and help ensure timely payment while maintaining internal controls
• Support audits by gathering documentation and explaining accounts payable processes
• Recommend and assist with process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
