Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage incoming payments, maintain accurate financial records, and support the overall billing and collections process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner

+ Prepare, review, and issue invoices to clients

+ Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances

+ Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and investigate discrepancies

+ Maintain accurate customer account records and payment histories

+ Work with customers to resolve billing issues and payment disputes

+ Prepare aging reports and support month-end closing activities

+ Collaborate with accounting, sales, and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing

+ Assist with cash application and account reconciliations

+ Support audit requests and maintain documentation in accordance with company policies

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

+ 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting experience preferred

+ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and receivables processes

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

+ High level of accuracy and attention to detail

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
