The Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Miami Fort Lauderdale Area. The Tax Accountant will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, support tax planning initiatives, and ensure timely and accurate tax compliance for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and identifying tax-saving opportunities aligned with current regulations. The role also involves collaborating with advisory and CFO services teams, responding to client inquiries, and assisting with USCanada cross-border tax issues as needed.
This position requires consistent attention to detail, clear communication with clients and colleagues, and a commitment to meeting filing deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong tax-focused skills, including Tax Preparation and Tax Compliance, with working knowledge of Tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Accounting principles and experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements.
- Ability to interpret tax law changes, perform research on complex tax issues, and document findings clearly.
- Experience with tax and accounting software, Excel, and general ledger systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is an asset.
- Prior experience in public accounting or a tax advisory environment, preferably serving small and mid-sized businesses.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an on-site team setting.
