AVP, Fund Accounting

A leading global alternative investment manager is seeking an AVP, Assistant Controller to join it's growing Miami office. This individual will support a diverse portfolio of alternative investment vehicles and work closely with internal investment teams.

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly and quarterly NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators.
• Oversee fund accounting activities including capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and partnership accounting.
• Review management fee and incentive/performance fee calculations.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual financial reporting, including audited financial statements.
• Review investor reporting, capital account statements, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with fund launches, restructurings, liquidations, and other strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across the fund finance function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of experience within fund accounting, fund finance, Big 4 Financial Services, or an alternative asset manager.
• Experience supporting hedge funds, private credit, private equity, fund-of-funds, or other alternative investment vehicles.
• Strong understanding of NAV reporting, Partnership accounting, capital calls/distributions, management and performance fees, and investor reporting.
