Role DescriptionThis full-time Accountant role is an on-site position based in Miami, FL. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and maintaining general ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting tax preparation activities under the guidance of senior accounting staff or CPAs. The role also involves communicating with clients about their financial records, answering routine questions, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
The Accountant will collaborate with the firm’s team to improve processes, maintain accurate documentation, and support high-quality service delivery.
- Candidates should possess strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, including experience with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools, such as Quick Books or similar platforms, spreadsheets, and basic office applications. But QBO is a must.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax preparation fundamentals and familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to clients in an accessible manner.
- Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in a public accounting or consulting environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, maintain confidentiality, uphold professional ethics, and collaborate effectively in a small-team setting.
