We’re partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to join its accounting and finance team. This is a highly visible role with responsibility for financial reporting, technical accounting, and supporting the organization’s month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures
- Manage the SEC reporting calendar and coordinate deliverables across internal teams
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and disclosure requirements
- Research and document complex technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memoranda
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC guidance and evaluate their impact on the organization
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate with external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Assist with earnings releases, investor reporting, and other external reporting requirements
- Support SOX compliance and maintain appropriate internal controls over financial reporting
- Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, and other departments
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate SEC reporting and close processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
- Hands-on SEC reporting experience required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- CPA strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience, particularly with a Big 4 or national firm, highly preferred
- Experience with Forms 10-K and 10-Q and related financial statement disclosures
- Strong technical accounting, analytical, and research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced public-company environment
