Accounting Clerk

Our firm is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting activities while assisting with basic administrative and office functions. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage data entry, documentation, and routine accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Accounting Responsibilities
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Enter invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Verify invoice information, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with processing checks, ACH payments, and other payment requests.
  • Perform basic bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and transaction logs.
  • Assist with posting journal entries and updating general ledger information.
  • Support billing, collections, cash applications, and payment tracking.
  • Research and resolve basic discrepancies in invoices, payments, and account balances.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of accounting reports.
  • Maintain organized financial files and documentation.
  • Provide support with audits, tax documentation, and other accounting projects as needed.
Basic Administrative Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate spreadsheets and databases.
  • Organize and file invoices, receipts, reports, and other business documents.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with scheduling, document preparation, and general office coordination.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and routine administrative documents.
  • Order office supplies and maintain organized office records.
  • Support internal departments with administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Handle confidential financial and employee information professionally.
