Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting functions of a growing organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing the full bookkeeping cycle, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently while partnering with management, vendors, customers, and external accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.

+ Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.

+ Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and adjusting entries.

+ Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure proper account coding.

+ Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.

+ Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

+ Monitor accounts receivable aging, collections, and customer account balances.

+ Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports.

+ Assist with payroll processing, payroll journal entries, and related reconciliations, as needed.

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax preparation by providing accurate financial documentation.

+ Maintain organized accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

+ Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 3-5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business environment.

+ Strong knowledge of debits and credits, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.

+

Experience with bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.

+ Proficiency with accounting software such as Quick Books, Quick Books Online, Sage, or similar platforms.

+ Experience working with ERP systems, such as Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise accounting systems, preferred.

+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial reporting.

+

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and cash applications.

+ Knowledge of month-end close procedures, accruals, prepaids, and journal entries.

+ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management.

+ Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+

Experience with payroll, sales tax, and 1099 reporting.

+ Familiarity with internal controls, audit support, and financial compliance.
