  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting and ensure financial assumptions align with reported results.
  • Oversee revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, cash posting, and denials.
  • Manage revenue recognition, including contractual allowances, bad debt, charity care reserves, and accounts receivable valuation.
  • Reconcile billing, cash posting, and accounts receivable to the general ledger on a monthly basis.

  • Coordinate Medicare and Medicaid cost reports with external preparers.
  • Support reimbursement reviews, audits, settlements, and related reporting.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls across accounting and revenue cycle processes.

  • Hands-on experience owning the month-end close and preparing financial statements.
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue recognition, including contractual allowances, bad debt, and charity care.
  • Experience supporting external audits and maintaining internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred:

  • CPA or active progress toward CPA.
  • Acute care, community hospital, or regional hospital experience.
  • Experience working outside of a large health system's shared-services model.
