Position Overview
The Part-Time Student Assistant, Clerk performs basic clerical and administrative support duties. Successful completion of a Level I background screening (at no cost to the student) is a condition of employment for this position.
What you will be doing
- Files, answers phones, sorts incoming mail, delivers outgoing mail, and assists with front desk duties
- Restocking copiers and printers as needed
- Prepares and processes all necessary forms
- Types correspondence
- Assists with inventory of supplies and replenishing when needed
- Assists with coordination of special projects as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent accredited GED; must qualify for financial aid and be enrolled in at least six (6) college credits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to consistently provide a friendly and positive disposition
- Possess basic office environment clerical filing, typing, and reporting skills
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
