The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Manager, Administrative Operations - Sylvester Myeloma Institute to work at the UHealth campus in Miami, Fl.

CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Administrative Operations oversee office activities and services including the supervision of office staff to achieve maximum productivity and expense control. Develops procedures and policies for administrative activities, such as records maintenance, document preparation, mail distribution, reception, and other related internal operations.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required

DEPARTMENT SPECIFICS:

The Manager of Administrative Operations provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Sylvester Myeloma Institute (SMI), with primary responsibility for supporting the Medical Director and Director of Administrative Operations. This position plays a key role in coordinating the Institute’s day-to-day administrative activities, financial processes, faculty and staff operations, meetings, and special events. The Manager works closely with SMI leadership, faculty, staff, and institutional partners to ensure efficient operations, timely follow-up, and effective organization across the Institute.

Department-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the SMI Medical Director and Director of Administrative Operations, assisting with Institute priorities, special projects, and ongoing operational needs.

  • Manages and coordinates the Medical Director’s complex calendar, including meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, faculty commitments, visitors, and other internal and external activities.

  • Initiates, processes, and monitors Workday transactions and other administrative requests, including requisitions, reimbursements, purchase orders, expense reports, procurement requests, and related departmental transactions.

  • Assists with financial administration and account reconciliation activities, working closely with the Director of Administrative Operations to monitor departmental, gift, grant, research, and other Institute accounts and expenditures.

  • Maintains organized tracking systems for SMI financial and administrative activities, including gifts, grants, research accounts, purchases, commitments, and other departmental resources.
