Amtrak - - Responsibilities:
Inspect, test and maintain locomotives and rolling stock equipment in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines;
Perform mechanical repairs to drive systems, wheels/wheel sets (trucks), suspension and other components of the propulsion system;
Diagnose, test, repair of air systems, and air brake equipment;
Calibrates pressure switches and valves in compliance with 49 CFR and Amtrak established standards;
Operate lifting/hoisting equipment and assist with preventative maintenance of locomotives
