Service Automotive Technician

As a service technician, you are responsible for assessing, diagnosing and performing specified maintenance and repairs with efficiency and accuracy.

Technician Duties include but are not limited to:

Diagnose and repair vehicle maintenance systems

Perform thorough check of customer’s car and referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.

Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management

Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.

Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques across a number of brands

Participate in service training activities; attend factory-sponsored training classes.

Communicate regularly with service advisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information.

Follow established safety protocols and company policies

Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.

Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.

Demonstrate ethical business practices in all interactions to uphold Sawgrass Ford’s good image

Job Requirements include but are not limited to:

Service shop experience preferred

Positive attitude and a desire to learn

Manual dexterity and physical stamina

Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. unassisted

Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time Knowledgeable with safe and correct repairs needed for vehicles

Ability to communicate with managers and peers

Ability to maintain composure under pressure

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Valid driver's license with Clean driving record

Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
