- Minimum of five (5) years Automotive Technician experience (Buick & GMC Master Certified) in a dealership setting.
- ASE certification A1 – A8.
- Ability to work with advanced diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Previous managerial experience with excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate, mentor and manage a team effectively.
- Positive attitude with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and quality.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and poise.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, business, or a related field preferred.
- Perform a wide range of vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance tasks on Buick & GMC vehicles.
- Efficiently and accurately assess mechanical problems, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct routine services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Inspect and repair engines, transmissions, air conditioning systems, steering, and suspension.
- Complete manufacturer and dealership training to stay current on Buick & GMC vehicle technology and service standards.
- Motivate, mentor and manage a team of automotive technicians effectively, including junior and apprentice auto techs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure customers are informed about repairs and the status of their vehicles.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
