Shore Excursions Coordinator – MSC Cruises – Miami, FL
Hybrid position: 4 days per week in the office, remaining days teleworking as needed.
Responsibilities- Communicate with local tour operators about current programs, scout for new products, and optimize based on demand, operational flow, and market trends.
- Maintain up-to-date tour description files, insurance certificates, contracts, safety audit records, and vendor directories.
- Coordinate shipment of tour operator marketing materials, preserve imagery library with Marketing team.
- Send procedural and deliverable emails to operators and ship staff.
- Review ship reports weekly and follow up with ships and operators for operational and guest satisfaction corrective actions.
- Travel onboard vessels and by flight for product quality control and site inspections.
- Assist in competitive benchmarking and destination research to identify new trends and product opportunities.
- Manage special projects as assigned by the manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cruise line tours department.
- Strong interest and knowledge of destinations, travel experiences, and guest satisfaction.
- Professional, effective communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, email etiquette, and phone manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with product/content management systems is an asset.
- Availability for up to 25% travel per year, onboard the ship and by flight.
- Knowledge of additional languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian) is a plus.
- US passport or US permanent resident status with a valid passport.
