Your PurposeMSC Cruises is expanding its Trade Events team in the US. Based in Miami, FL, this role is responsible for planning and executing all of MSC Cruises trade events, sales and MSC Cruises functions to include but not limited to sales trade shows, inaugural events, sales meetings, industry events, and Advisory Board Meetings. Coordinates with executives, corporate counterparts leveraging assets, tools, etc.,
shipboard personnel and land-based personnel as well as travel partners for all events and activities from creative stage to final execution. This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami.
- Supporting all trade events and engaging our B2B audience, including:
- Supporting the Trade Event Manager on highest-impact events
- Leading mid-level events with team support as needed
- Providing onsite support, which may include travel and some evenings and weekends
- Supporting a range of events such as trade shows, meetings, dinners, cocktail parties, partnership events, and onboard events
- Leading trade sales launches and roadshows by partnering with the B2B sales team and various vendors across the U.S.
- Leading the promo item ordering project
- Supporting monthly budget and invoice reconciliation
- Supporting Ship Tours and S@S as needed
- Supporting the Trade Engagement channel as needed
- Event coordination and management experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Education requirements:
- Certified Event Planner certification and/or
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to travel and work extended hours beyond regular business hours, including nights and weekends
- Ability to handle materials up to 40 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis
- Basic understanding of B2B marketing and engagement tools, including PowerPoint presentations, email campaigns, and social media
- Experience working with a variety of vendors and contacts to support complex events
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite:
- PowerPoint required
- Excel for budget management
- Cruise industry or travel/hospitality experience (a plus)
- Marketing and/or engagement experience (a plus)
- Must hold a U.S. passport or be a U.S. permanent resident
