Overview

The Luxury & Resorts Sales Analyst is a highly analytical, commercially minded professional who partners closely with the Luxury & Resorts leadership team to help drive sales, profitability, and commercial excellence. Blending data fluency with a strong sales mindset, this position supports leadership not only by analyzing performance, but by identifying opportunities, flagging risks early, and recommending actions that improve results.

It approaches the business holistically evaluating trade-offs across categories, initiatives, inventory, experiences, and destinations to optimize total Luxury & Resorts performance rather than isolated category outcomes.

Serving as a forward-looking performance and planning partner, the position leverages cruise line–provided data to anticipate shifts in guest mix, deployment, and sailing characteristics. Through structured, recurring analysis, it helps inform proactive assortment, inventory, and selling strategies that support stronger commercial outcomes and enhanced partner alignment.

This position plays a critical role in driving assortment optimization, margin discipline, inventory health, test-and-learn execution, guest-centric insights, destination performance analysis, and performance reporting across Luxury & Resorts businesses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Business Performance & Opportunity Analysis:
Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and category performance across Luxury & Resorts portfolios to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations related to assortment, pricing, promotional strategy, and category mix
  • Evaluate performance by cruise line, ship, voyage, resort, category, brand, and initiative
  • Analyze the mix of business across luxury cruise and resort partners to support the introduction of categories, brands, and products that improve overall profitability, balancing guest demand for high-value offerings with margin, turn, and total business performance
  • Evaluate performance with an enterprise lens, considering how decisions in one category, destination, or initiative impact overall sales, margin, inventory health, and guest experience across the business
Forward-Looking Performance & Planning
  • Gather and synthesize cruise line–provided inputs, including deployment schedules, occupancy reports, nationality and age breakdowns, dry docks, and repositioning voyages
  • Analyze how guest composition, sailing characteristics, and operating variables impact sales performance, category mix, and inventory productivity, with clear insights and recommended corrective or optimization actions
  • Conduct recurring, forward-looking analysis (quarterly) across key commercial and operating drivers, including:
  • Sea days versus port days
  • Operating hours
  • VAT vs. non-VAT voyages
  • Chartered voyages
  • Seasonality impacts
  • Translate forward-looking insights into recommendations that inform assortment depth, inventory positioning, promotional focus, and selling strategies for upcoming sailings
High-Value Category Optimization
  • Serve as a key analytical and performance partner for high-value categories, supporting decisions around appropriate product quantities and depth
  • Partner with MP&D (Merchandising, Planning & Distribution) and the Luxury Head of Merchandising to ensure inventory levels align with demand, ship and resort profiles, and guest behavior
  • Analyze sales performance versus assortment mix to identify opportunities to refine breadth, depth, and product composition
  • Support optimization of high-value categories to maximize sales performance, guest satisfaction, and overall business contribution
Destination Performance & Opportunity Insights
  • Analyze destination-level performance across the luxury cruise portfolio, including a broad range of ports of call
  • Identify where destination retail and experiences are performing well and where gaps or missed opportunities exist
  • Partner with MP&D and Luxury & Resorts leadership to support data-driven decisions on destination-led assortment, product development, and experience concepts
  • Track performance of destination initiatives over time to inform refinement, expansion, or exit…
