We’re looking for a Floral Manager who is equally excited about design, sales, and growing revenue in a startup environment.
Role OverviewThe Floral Manager will lead floral operations while also playing a key role in business development and sales growth. This is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for designing floral products, managing inventory and staff, developing new revenue streams, and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is both creative and commercially minded, with the drive to help scale a young business.
Key Responsibilities- Floral Operations & Design
- Oversee daily floral production, design, and fulfillment
- Develop and maintain design standards that align with brand identity
- Source flowers and supplies; manage inventory, vendors, and cost controls
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and consistency
- Lead floral installations, events, and on-site setups
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities (corporate accounts, events, partnerships, subscriptions, wholesale, etc.)
- Build and manage relationships with clients, vendors, venues, and strategic partners
- Support sales efforts through client consultations, proposals, pricing, and follow‑ups
- Collaborate with leadership to develop pricing strategies and sales targets
- Represent the brand at networking events, tastings, and industry gatherings
- Track leads, conversions, and client feedback to improve offerings
- Team Leadership & Growth
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage floral staff and contractors
- Create scalable systems and workflows as the business grows
- Mentor team members in both design and client-facing skills
- Strategy & Financial Awareness
- Monitor labor, floral costs, and margins to support profitability
- Contribute to forecasting, seasonal planning, and product development
- Provide insights on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning
- 3+ years of professional floral design experience with sales or client-facing responsibilities
- Proven ability to grow accounts, manage clients, or drive revenue (events, corporate, or retail)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working in a startup or fast‑paced small business environment
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Ability to lift, stand for extended periods, and support installations
- Passion for flowers, entrepreneurship, and business growth
- A leadership role with direct impact on revenue and growth
