PositionSummary
Independently leads client strategy and service on the largest and most complex clients across the company. A typical client generates over $100k in annualized revenue. Clients are often self‑funded, with 500+ enrolled employees. Creates multiple opportunities to engage and diagnose highly complex needs proactively and determines strategic direction to meet the client’s evolving needs and sells all of World. Seen as industry leader and engaging speaker at internal and external conferences and seminars.
Assigned book is between $1.5M to $5M in earned benefit revenue.
- Lead clients through the development of a multiyear strategic plan that includes industry‑leading solutions and program recommendations.
- Lead with expert knowledge and input on benefit plan design strategy, rate analysis, RFP process, carrier negotiations, and carrier contract reviews.
- Present financial story around plan performance through dashboards, benchmark, and stewardship reporting, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Develop and lead carrier and vendor implementation project plans.
- Oversee development and preparation of OE/Benefit communications materials and Ben Admin Technology, where applicable.
- Develop and execute Annual Service Plan; lead client touch points, track open items and deliver notes to client (includes compliance needs including 5500 filing, Medicare Part D disclosures, reporting, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA).
- Engage with clients to educate on market trends, carrier and vendor solutions, EBS/ME and World capabilities (not just day‑to‑day service).
- Manage vendor/carrier performance and escalated service issues.
- Finalize and deliver stewardship report and messaging.
- Plan design (e.g., VBD, RBP, PBM), underwriting, funding concepts and external third‑party products/solutions beyond traditional insurance products.
- Carrier negotiations with clients with large and highly complex clients.
- Executive presence with polished communication/presentation skills with the ability to influence key decision makers.
- Project planning and management around renewal, carrier implementation, open enrollment, vendor implementation, etc.
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to analyze data using advanced formulas, create charts and graphs, and use templates and design elements effectively.
- Knowledge of World EB large market/self‑funded analytics tools, models, and capabilities.
- May act as Team Lead to client service delivery colleagues.
- Promotes an effective team environment through clear communication of assignments and provision of feedback. Acts as mentor, effectively demonstrates leadership attributes, shares expertise. May select, train, and evaluate other team members.
- Must hold state life and health insurance license.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent work experience would be considered.
Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand‑up/sit‑down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically required every day, and walking and standing required occasionally.
