Windstar is currently seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain & Logistics that will provide enterprise‑wide leadership and oversight of all sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, and supply chain operations across our fleet. This role is responsible for building a cohesive, high‑performance supply chain function that supports corporate, operational, and financial objectives. The Director drives continuous improvement by implementing best‑practice procurement processes, optimizing supplier performance, strengthening logistics reliability, and standardizing systems and workflows.

This position oversees strategic sourcing initiatives, vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier compliance while ensuring cost efficiency, reliability, and quality. The Director also leads supply chain transformation through technology adoption and system optimization—supporting both near‑term operational needs and long‑term growth of the organization.

Responsibilities Supply Chain Leadership & Strategy
  • Build and lead a cohesive, enterprise‑wide supply chain function aligned with operational and financial objectives.
  • Establish best‑practice sourcing, procurement, logistics, and inventory processes to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Drive supply chain transformation through technology adoption, workflow automation, and standardized operating procedures.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Lead sourcing initiatives to secure optimal pricing, quality, and performance across goods and services.
  • Manage supplier evaluation, selection, onboarding, compliance, and ongoing performance reviews.
  • Strengthen the Preferred Vendor Program and consolidate the supplier base where beneficial.
  • Negotiate key contracts in partnership with Legal, ensuring favorable terms, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Buying Channels, Systems & Process Optimization
  • Implement efficient buying channels, catalog purchasing, and digital procurement tools to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with delegated authorities, procurement policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor market pricing and vendor adherence to contract terms.
Source‑to‑Settle & Cross‑Functional Alignment
  • Oversee the integrity and efficiency of the Source‑to‑Settle process in collaboration with Finance.
  • Improve freight, logistics routing, and vendor compliance to reduce cost and enhance reliability.
  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and drive actions to improve inventory health.
Analytics, Reporting & Cost Optimization
  • Use enterprise spend analytics to identify savings opportunities, category strategies, and long‑term planning insights.
  • Evaluate local purchasing efforts to ensure alignment with company wide cost and operational standards.
  • Support capital projects with sourcing guidance and contract negotiation.
  • Governance & Contract Management
    • Maintain a centralized contract repository with clear metadata, renewal tracking, and compliance triggers.
    • Develop and deploy contract templates with Legal for all procurement‑related documents.
    Industry Engagement
    • Stay current with industry trends, procurement innovation, and hospitality supply chain developments; represent the company at relevant trade events.
    Qualifications Experience & Education
    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred; relevant certifications (CPSM, CFSP, PMP) desirable.
    • 15+ years in supply chain, procurement, or logistics within cruise, travel, hospitality, or like industries.
