We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and highly skilled Director of Core Products to lead the end-to‑end product strategy, roadmap, and performance of the Credit, Debit, Pre‑Paid, and New Products & Solutions portfolio across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). This role is central to Visa’s mission of driving consumer payments growth, accelerating product modernization, and expanding access to new payment solutions across the region.

The ideal candidate is a visionary product strategist with deep expertise in payments, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to translate market needs into compelling, scalable product strategies. You will set the strategic direction for multiple product pillars, orchestrate cross‑functional execution, and ensure the portfolio delivers measurable business impact aligned with Visa 2030 Strategy.

Responsibilities Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Define product value propositions, segmentation strategies, pricing & economics frameworks, lifecycle plans, and competitive positioning.
  • Integrate modernization initiatives across products.
Execution & Operational Excellence
  • Translate strategy into clear, operational delivery plans, ensuring execution through PLM, GTM readiness, and cross‑functional alignment.
  • Oversee and continuously improve regional product governance, including prioritization frameworks, product readiness criteria, and launch processes.
Portfolio & Performance Management
  • Own product‑level P&Ls, ensuring accurate visibility into revenue, costs, margins, and drivers of business performance.
  • Evaluate portfolio health using insights, market analytics, and performance KPIs to inform roadmap adjustments and optimization decisions.
Market Engagement & Expansion
  • Develop tailored go‑to‑market strategies, ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory contexts, and market maturity.
  • Lead cross‑market reviews to identify opportunities for portfolio distribution, dormant portfolio activation, and new product adoption.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Technology, Client Services, Sales, Risk, Finance, Marketing, and Global Product teams to drive high‑quality execution.
  • Serve as the central owner of product strategy, ensuring teams across the organization are aligned and delivering against a unified vision.
Innovation & New Product Development
  • Champion the design and commercialization of new product constructs for LAC.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, partnerships, and payment solutions that support Visa’s growth objectives.
  • Ensure new product initiatives are grounded in robust business cases, P&L logic, and scalable execution plans.
Continuous Improvement & Foresight
  • Stay ahead of evolving customer needs, regulatory trends, competitive shifts, and emerging technologies.
  • Continuously refine product strategy and execution models to maintain market leadership and accelerate long‑term growth.
