Position Summary:
Our Application Development and Services team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Manager who is user‑centric and data‑driven to innovate and execute product initiatives for our custom platform. The product is our Firm’s client‑facing access and authentication platform, providing authorized entry to collaboration portals, knowledge‑management resources, and firm‑hosted events such as conferences, webinars, and round tables. It enables clients and other approved users to securely access McDermott content, programs, and collaboration tools through a centralized account.
The Senior Product Manager oversees the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with firm and stakeholder objectives, for one or more software products. This role works with key stakeholders to define the product strategy and to identify measurable goals and objectives aligned with that strategy. The Senior Product Manager uses the strategy, market research, and understanding of user needs to develop a product roadmap and work collaboratively with the design, development and QA teams to drive delivery of product releases.
This role oversees end‑user support of their products to ensure complete user satisfaction, and utilizes user research, usage analytics, and end‑user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in meeting and exceeding user expectations.
- Establish and maintain the product charter, roadmap, governance policies, and ceremonies to establish a clear product direction, with full transparency with stakeholders.
- Conduct collaborative ideation sessions with stakeholders to define product goals, features, and other criteria through a structured product definition process.
- Manage all products with flexibility and agility, keeping all stakeholders fully informed and able to adjust strategy and implementation plans to reflect changes in priority.
- Define product requirements and specifications in collaboration with engineering and design teams.
- Build and maintain a prioritized backlog of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, based on key collaborator requirements, user input, and use case development.
- Create requirements and specifications guided by product strategy, market information, user feedback, technical feasibility, and their unique insights and experience.
- Lead cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, owning the product from conception through launch to maturity and support.
- Apply user research, usability testing, and usage analytics to establish user‑centered designs that are intuitive and easy to use and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of technologies and market competition to identify potential opportunities for product(s).
- Identify and monitor KPIs to measure product success.
- At least six (6) years of related work experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or equivalent role.
