PositionDescription
As a member of the supply chain team, you will have the opportunity to impact many functional areas of the company. A Global Sourcing Manager’s main role is to develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives that reduce spend and improve enterprise value. You will own a category, managing product quality, costing, supplier relationships, value initiatives, and strategic objectives for that group.
PrimaryDuties
- Execute category sourcing strategies, including vendor negotiations, cost reductions, and bid events; develop selection criteria and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Conduct supplier negotiations; collaborate with Legal on contracts and perform contract management and improvement plans.
- Use procurement tools and systems to create operational efficiency and visibility.
- Develop business relationships with functional stakeholders, soliciting feedback on sourcing and vendor performance.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance, ensuring regular meetings occur.
- Report on spending, vendor risks, and opportunities for action.
- Engage in continuous improvement and innovation, adopting industry best practices and new tools.
- Identify alternative supply options and value‑engineering opportunities.
- Maintain ERP system accuracy.
- Monitor raw material pricing and identify mitigation or advanced sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and support metric‑driven category approaches.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a supply‑chain function.
- Proven negotiator with dynamic procurement experience.
- Understanding of demand/supply, inventory, production, capacity planning, and warehousing functions.
- ISM certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with all levels of management.
- High analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work as part of a diverse global team.

Physical Requirements
- Full time – flexibility to work extra time if needed.
- Work in a fast paced and diverse environment.

- Ability to travel up to 40%.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Required travel to farms in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, the Dominican Republic, and Asia; travel to other nurseries, trade shows, and vendors.
