Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

The Procurement and Logistics Superintendent leads all site supply chain functions at Pinto Valley Mine, including procurement, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and strategic sourcing. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing cost and working capital, and supporting reliable production across the operation.

This position works closely with operations, maintenance, and finance to align supply chain execution with site priorities. The role also serves as a key commercial leader, supporting contract strategy, supplier management, and stepping into broader leadership responsibilities as required.

• Supply Chain Leadership:
Lead all procurement, warehouse, inventory, and logistics functions to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable supply chain operations aligned with site priorities.

• Strategic Sourcing & Contracts:
Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and manage key vendor relationships to achieve best total cost and performance.

• Procurement Execution:
Ensure effective requisition-to-purchase processes, enforce commercial controls, and eliminate non-compliant or inefficient spend.

• Inventory & Warehouse Management:
Optimize inventory levels, improve inventory accuracy, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and ensure efficient warehouse operations and material flow.
