Position: Flight Hours Services Repair Manager (Contract)

Flight Hours Services Repair Manager (Contract)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Flight Hours Services Repair Manager to join its Customer Service Repair department in Miami, FL. The primary role is to serve as the main point of contact for Flight Hours Services (FHS) customers’ critical situations involving repair suppliers.

The Customer Support team provides aircraft operations support throughout the operational life of each aircraft, coordinating and monitoring customized services to maintain positive customer relationships.

Location:

Miami, Florida. The position requires frequent travel (3–5 times per year) to supplier sites and the Satair Miami warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities
  • COST (30%) – Validate commercial quotations in line with procurement guidelines, contributing to the global FHS repair cost target.
  • LEAD TIME (30%) – Ensure suppliers deliver or repair parts in the required time frame, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • QUALITY (10%) – Schedule regular operational meetings with repair shops to address open issues, ensure compliance with technical standards, work scopes, and certifications.
  • Support to HWS (20%) – Monitor SMS cards, part warehouse status, live limitations, quarantine clearances, POD discrepancies, and participate in weekly FHS/Satair meetings.
  • Additional Responsibilities (10%) – Perform other duties as assigned, including supplier engagements and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Aerospace or equivalent (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in aviation or supply chain industry, with experience in supplier operational management.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship‑building and results‑oriented skills.
  • Technical background to challenge quotations using the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
  • Knowledge of Part 145, SAP experience and Google Workspace proficiency.
  • English proficiency (spoken, written). French or Spanish proficiency is a plus.

The role is a temporary (contract) assignment with no specific time period but may be extended or shortened. The successful candidate must be able to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship or work authorization.
